Recipe: Peanut Almond Snack Bars

It’s like rice crispy treats on crack. But it’s totally healthy snack bars! Let’s try to made your healthy snack bars for your friends & family now!

Ingredients

1) 2½ tablespoons butter

2) 3 cup miniature marshmallows

3) ½  cup chunky peanut butter

4) 2 ¼ cups chocolate toasted oat cereal

5) 1 ¼ cups old-fashioned rolled oats

6) 1 cup crushed hard pretzel twists

7) ⅓ cup roasted, salted almonds

8) ¼ teaspoon kosher salt

Instructions

Step 1

Melt butter in a large saucepan over medium heat. Add marshmallows and peanut butter; cook 3 minutes or until smooth, stirring constantly. Remove mixture from heat; stir in cereal and next 4 ingredients (through salt).

 

Step 2

Working quickly, spread mixture in an 8-inch square metal baking pan coated with cooking spray. Using a wet spoon, spread mixture into an even 1-inch layer; let stand 1 hour or until set. Cut into 16 squares.
