Sunflower seed is the fruit of the sunflower. There are three types of commonly used sunflower seeds: linoleic, high oleic, and sunflower oil seeds. Each variety has its own unique levels of monounsaturated, saturated, and polyunsaturated fats.
Sunflower seeds provide a healthy source of essential fatty acids. Sunflower seeds specific fatty acids are in the form of linoleic acid. Additionally, sunflower seeds are the plentiful source of vitamin E, copper, vitamin B1, manganese, selenium, phosphorus, magnesium, vitamin B6, folate and vitamin B1 keeping you in tip top condition.
